Love Challenge :) (Is that an oxymoron???)

Okay- I totally laughed when I saw the title for our challenge this week at the  DCRU Blog. Love Challenge. Isn't Love a Challenge sometime??? LOL. I LOVE my hubby to death, but we sure can be a challenge to each other sometimes :)

It what makes us great :) Anyways!

We have used the Pink Paislee papers from the January Card Kit at DCRU.

The stamp is from Unity Stamp Company, also available at DCRU!

The punch is from Ek Success and the ribbon is May Arts from DCRU. The pretty array of blue/aqua  Copic Ciao's finished my heart :)

Cupcakes and Cold :)

Hey all my crafty friends :) We are gearing up for another snow storm, and although we don't get the amounts I know many of you do, around here you add water and you get instant idiots when it comes to driving. Seriously, some schools get called off just with a forecast of snow. LOL. When I was little, we would pray we HAD school. While some kids sat around and watched tv on snow days, we spent them at the tobacco barn stripping tobacco :) Now that I look back, I think we goofed off more playing on wood piles and chasing each other than actually stripping, but it seemed like so much work then :) After, dad would take us sledding down huge hills on the farm, and then hook us up to the 3 wheelers to pull us back up the hill. Friends loved sledding with us, no walking :) We would all come home and mom would make hot chocolate. My little guy thinks we have to have hot chocolate ANY cold morning! (I usually just warm his chocolate milk up :) Anyways, I am scheduled for my MRI tomorrow morning. So, snow or not, it's a go :) On snow days, my Hummer comes in very handy :) Snow doesn't stop me :) LOL. Anyways,  this is a picture of a card set I made for a customer. I just love cupcakes :) Have a nice and warm day everyone!

Santa Paper Dolls

Hey all! Well, got to the hospital this morning for my MRI and the doc's office had forgot to fax the orders. GRRRRRR. So, I have to reschedule on Monday and will probably have it Tuesday.  So, while I am dealing with a bad headache and my back killing me (Seriously, I never knew your body could start hating you in your twenties, lol), here are some pics from Christmas time of Matthew making paper doll Santas for ornaments :) I cut all the parts with my Paper Doll Dress Up Cart on my Cricut, gave him a glue stick, and he went to town :)

When he was all done and they had dried from the abundance of unecessary glue :)

We punched holes in the top, wrote his name and date on the back, and gave them to all the grandparents, great grandparents, Aunt Sissy & Luke, and he kept one for himself :)

He actually did a pretty good job of a 3 year old, but I think he gets the OCD from me!!!

Not so hot to trot :)

Hey all. Not feeling so hot today. Spent yesterday at the doc and hospital. Having an MRI of my brain done tomorrow morning. Say a prayer that all is well. Love you all and have a great day. I will be back soon :) (If I feel like it, you may get a crafty post later :)

Mouse in the House :)

There must be something in the air for Minnie Mouse the past 2 days. I have mangaged to received orders for over 170  Minnie Mouse Cupcake Toppers in the past 48 hours. SHEW!!!! Orders range from Cannda, Louisiana, Oregon, and more.  Needless to say between those order and the massive amount of Princess and a certain PINK kitty :) I am swamped!!! So, today is a flashback of those Minnie toppers that are flying off my virtual shleves :) )Oh yeah- and I am heading to the doctor today, UGH. no fun at all!!!)

Where does your creativity come from?

Hi all my super fab followers :)  I think I am coming down with a kidney infection, again, UGH, so I don't feel real hot today!!!! Follwer Karen asked the other day how I pump myself up to be creative, or am I just that way all the time? Well, when I am in pain, I'm not creative Karen :) Other than that my head spins with ideas 24/7. It's my outlet, my fun time :) There are times I feel more creative than others, but I generally have a list of ideas I make and pick which one I feel like working on :) I also love having things hanging on my walls that inspire me. Here is my Layout Clothesline :) It always has some of my current favorite LO's. Other things that inspire me- listening to my son- he gives me great titles to LO's with his 3 year old imagination, looking through magazines and catalogs, and visiting YOUR blogs! You guys rock with great ideas!!!

Busy as a BEE!!

Please know that I have not fallen off the face of the Earth today :) I have just been swamped! I have been busy adjusting to adding Matthew's new martial arts schedule to our week, reorganizing my studio (i do this often! I will take pics and share soon!!!) and yesterday I had my hair changed back to a brunette :) (I change my hair color VERY often :0 It's fun :) LOL.

I also made an AWESOME valentine's day wreath  for my door!!!!

I love it! I will show you as soon as I download my pics!!!

Just wanted to say hello!!! Having a sleepover here tomorrow with some of my girls from high school and 6 of our kiddos!!!! Should be interesting!

Saturday we will spend shopping, eating, kiddy bowling, and jumping on inflatables! :)

Going Postal....URGH :)

Hello Everyone! Happy Monday! When I started to make my bloggy rounds this morning I noticed I had won a $5 gift certificate to There She Goes from their challenge last week!!! 2 weeks in a row of winning something???? WOW!

Well, me and the post office are having rounds. I mailed an overnight package on Wednesday and they can't find it. Makes me SO MAD. Really, I can pay $19 to mail a package and you can't keep up with it??? It contained this:

beautiful princess name banner for a little girl's birthday party,

this happy birthday banner

and 40 princess cupcake toppers. The sad thing- her party was Saturday. I am so upset with the PO. The customer said they are going to use it for her best friend's party- I just hope the PO finds it and wish someone would answer their phone when I call!!! URGH!

A lil' frustrated. There is a large amount of insurance on it, and I will be fighting for every penny so I can make the proper refunds. Thank goodness for sweet customers who see where the problem is and don't blame it on you! Makes life easier!!!

Just sharing this card with you all today! Matthew had a "Aloha Beach Party" at school today! He wore swimming trunks over his sweats, a beachy shirt, his straw hat, lei, and more :) He ate ham and pineapple pizza, drank fruit punch, and enjoyed "sunning" on his beach towel. Game Over....

I know I told you guys last Sunday was the hubby's birthdya. Well, I made him this card to go with his gift. He is a gamer and loves playing with his old college frat boys online.  On the inside I wrote- "...you are as old as me again :)" See, I am four months older and he thinks his job is to tell me that everyday :) He called me a cougar the other day and I fell in the floor laughing. Vinyal fun!

Busy today! Lots of orders to get out the door! The cold is still around and the snow still on the ground and they are calling for more today. Matthew has a cough, probably from the snow time :) Yesterday was hubby's birthdya like I said, and after dinner and putting little one to bed I baked him 2 mega cookies and got him a glass of milk and we watched shows on DVR we had taped :) I love simple dates :) We have the best time just being together. So fun :)

Just remembered I had forgot to show this candy dish I made for my sister. She is a banker and always has little candy on her desk. This was one of $1 loaf pans from Michael's and I used my vinyl to make her a fun dish with her monogram :)  Vinyl is fun once you get the hang of it!!! Here is another post that more of my creations with vinyl I did earlier in case you missed it!!!

And going sledding for the first time! (This is Ellen, Matthew's GF :) one of my bestest! She was seet enough to bring one of her sleds over since every store in Louisville was sold out!

Growing up on a farm, sledding was a bit different! We went down hills that are not to be found in a city! When you go to the bottom, you waited for a four wheeler or three wheeler to pick you and your sled up and take you back to the top. Fun times!!! Dad always made sledding so much fun!! Mom always had hot chocolate waiting for us!

This Christmas I'll Be Home with Bells On :)

Hola My Crafty Chicas :) Don't think I shared this LO yet :) The challenge was to use a song as the title. Well, every year at Christmas my grandma BLARES Dolly singing " I'll Be Home With Bells On..." She cranks it up every time someone pulls in the drive. She then proceeds to sing, dance, and clap her hands for you :) Too cute. So, here is my LO :) Have a great one!!!!

New AC!!!!!!

AAAAHHHHH!!! I just got an email from my American Crafts Sales Rep and she let me have a sneak peek of all the new AC products being revealed at CHA!!!!! 450 new items!!!!!!!!!!!!!! JUST WAIT until you see the lines!!!!! I am head over heels over a few of these new papers too!!!!!!!!!! I SO wish Ic ould share, and as soon as I get the go ahead- I will share! Promise!!!!!!! Just HAD to tell you!!!

Happy day everyone! Well, we FINALLY got a a start on a big snow! We have had a couple dustings, but nothing that would amount to anything. Matthew is SO excited! I'll take some pics soon! KY snows are beautiful!!

Seems like growing up we had snow starting November and it lasted until after January. Crazy. This past November I was still in flip flops and going to the zoo.

I just realized that I hadn't shred with you all my DT project for DCRU this week! I usually have that post pre scheduled and with thrying to get all the DCRU post ready for the month, I neglected my own! OOPS!!! We are haveing a color combo challenge this week at DCRU! Blogger Answers & Creative Memories :)

I have had several of you ask or comment about the 3 column blog. Well, I was told by a blog designer they would do it for $15. NOPE. I will figure it out myself!!! So, after reading up on it some, I found super great steps HERE at Blog Buster and I did it all myself and saved $15 :) Takes about 30 minutes to do alone or an hour to do with a three year old on your lap :) (AKA My situation :)

If you do it, let me know!! I'd love to see it!!

Also, if anyone is needing a FAB Creative Memories consultant, my friend Erin, mommy of 4 and super sweet girlie :), would love to help you out! She has been a consultant for a while, but I haven't ever mentioned it. Don't know why not! We go to church, MOMS group, Bible Study together and I she is bringing me a couple of the CM paper trimmers to look at. I've been eyeing a couple new ones, and I am trying to make a decision!!! Change is good :)

No you are not going nuttty, I changed my blog around :) I made it a 3 column (which I am very proud to say I did myself :) and I am having a new header made. My new logo design is on my stickers and a lot of my packaging, so cohesion is key :) I am doing my best to SIMPLIFY my life! It feels good. My faith, family, and friends are my priorities followed by health and my business. So bear with me :)

Other happenings: I bought some super cute stamps from 7 gypsies on http://www.peachycheap.com/ yesterday and cannot wait to get them! they are journaling stamps! I also bought some stamps from Skipping Stones Designs yesterday! So funny & cute! You will see a lot of them here!!!

Well, off to pack several orders (such a blessing to have a steady business) and create some new Valentine's items for the shoppe! So, I found a super fun blog called Inky Smiles (you should head over and follow her :) through my bloggy friend Kandi (Thanks Kandi! You rock!) Well, there was a sketch challenge and I just had to enter! There were 4 sketches to choose from. I picked this one and you see what I came up with!! There just aren't enough cute "boyish" cards out there!!! Thanks Erin for the great inspiration and chance!!!!

Great deal on some calendar blanks!!!

Well, January is EARLY so, there is still plenty of time to make a calendar for those you love. I am about to give you an amazing link where you can buy 8x8 blanks for only $3 each and the best part- they are already dated, bound, and thin enough so when you add your scrappiness to them, they aren't too bulky. I personally bought 8 of these from her and love them! I am planning to finish a couple for early Valentine's Day presents and already gave 2 away for Christmas! So if you need blanks! Go HERE!!! Hey everyone! Hope you had a fab weekend. My sister and boyfriend-in-law (hehe) came to visit and watch the UK- Uof L game with us. GO CATS! :) I have had a killer headache today and had plans to visit a friend and her family, but until this headache goes away,  I am not going anywhere- bummer!

Wanted to share a little card I made using the NEW January Card Kit from http://www.diecutsrus.com/

I just love this kit! I was so grateful when CLaudia the owner sent part of it to me to play with- 10 cards later (Yes, 10! from 1/2 a kit- I was still looking at a few things left over!! I can't wait to share with you a bunch more of them :)

Oh- and several asked about my "bubbles" on my wall in the last post- funny story. I bought them for like 7 bucks from Lakeside Collection about 3 years ago. They are plastic fish tanks you hang on the wall!!! Well, I had the bright idea I wanted to use them in Matthew's room one day. Well, hubby didn't share my vision, lol, and so when I moved my craft area into it's own room, I decided they would be perfect for random ribbon, trims, string, etc! Ans I was right! THey add such color, are fun to look at and so easy to grab off the wall, pick something I want, and use it! I mainly put scraps, things not on spools, those little spools, etc. in them. Fun, functional, and not for fish anymore :) Glad you all like them!

Reorganization!!!!

So, a new year means a fresh start. I'm not too hip on resolutions, but I am a huge fan or organization, order, and lists :) I make lists of lists I need to make :) I write things on my list sometimes that I just got done doing just for the satisfaction of marking it off and feeling accomplished. (Weird I know, but oh well!!!)  So, when I needed to be creating yesterday, I was organizing and reorganizing the back station of my studio :) to the top is BEFORE and the bottom is AFTER.  I even reorganized one of my studio closets (the fabric closet will have to wait. Not that brave yet :)  I hooked up my new wireless 3 in one printer, got my new postage scale set up and my postage software installed.

I am proud of myself! My new Clip It Up is set up! Full, and oh so wonderful! I was one of those who thought, "That's a waste of money. I don't see the need." After I pulled out about 4 packages of the same rub ons, a couple packs of the same stickers, 2 sets of Eskimo Kisses Chipboard, and duplicates of much more, I realized that I now would be able to see everything I had and that it meant KNOWING what I had!!! 

And just in case you are looking for a Clip It Up- I saw that a Bundle is on sale at Archiver's this week. you get top and bottom tier, 8 different bags, and clips and save like $45 off buying it individually!

Just in case you haven't nocticed on facebook, twitter, emails, etc. it's New Year's Eve, lol. Sarcastic, yes :)

As 2009 comes to an end, thank you to all of you who have made this wild journey worth the ride. I have "made" great friends through the blog world and consider many of you family. I have been blessed with two successful businesses, being published, a part of some great design teams, and more.  Can't wait to see what is in store in 2010. 

O a personal note- I have an amazing husband who I know is my soulmate and supports even my smallest dreams, a son who makes each day exciting and shows me the true meaning of unconditional love, parents who have been amazing examples, role models, and are some of the best grandparents Matthew could ever had hoped for, a sister who is my BFF and truly understands everything about me b/c we "come" from the same place, friends who amaze me with their support, strength, and loyalty.To all of you- thank you. In 2010- I will talk less (quit laughing for those who know me personally :), listen more, realize that these small moments are the ones that count, take more pictures and actually try to be in some of them this year :), continue to Pray that Dustin heals and recovers and that we will be out of perating rooms for at least another 2 years. I will continue to have faith in the Lord and continue staying strong knowing that God took Matt for a purpose bigger than I am able to comprehend, but I will be thankful for the 18 years I watched him grow as my brother. I will continue to grow as a Mother, Wife, Sister, Daughter, and Friend and keep trying to be a truly good person. As my dad says, "Don't sweat the small stuff kiddo."I won't Dad.  Promise. Words for 2010- Strength, Courage, Faith, Hope, Love, Praise, Growth, Forgiveness, Risks, Success,  Trust, Honesty, and Diligence.God is good.I hope he blesses each of you in 2010 and may this be your best yet!ALLmy love-
